Glory Days: 

The Gravis PC Gamepad—if it’s good enough for Jazz Jackrabbit and Commander Keen, well, then, pal—it’s good enough for you and I. 
I’ve been really nostalgic lately for those last few great years of MS-DOS gaming.
I had something called a PC fighter 16 or something along those lines which had waaaaaaay more buttons but wasn’t nearly as elegant as the gravis. I DID have a gravis joystick though, that had a clear plastic base. Clear plastic that permits a view of the circuits remains to this day a favorite aesthetic choice of mine.
